I don't like to say that Singapore is a must visit... it's just that when there are so many amazing things to do, there's nothing to stress about, no matter how you turn it, you'll have a good time. What I do like to do is recommend. I highly recommend a cruise on the Singapore River and Marina Bay, and if you happen to be at sunset, even better!
Start at Clarke Quay Jetty and head south towards the marina. At first you swim in the river and you can see on both banks the historical Singapore with colonial buildings that are about 200 years old. On the one hand the government buildings from the period of British rule and on the other hand the buildings of the historic port of Singapore. Moving forward and as you get closer to the mouth of the river, the modern Singapore skyline and Singapore's mesmerizing skyscrapers are revealed. As the sun sets, the colors and lights become more and more intense. You enter the marina at perfect timing to receive modern Singapore at its peak. In fact, most of the built-up land of the marina is land that has been dried and on which the marvels of architecture were built that will not give your eyes a rest.
We turn around and come back and receive the river in intoxicating night tones. Get off at Clarke Quay Jetty and hey you are in one of the best places Singapore has to offer for an evening of entertainment, keep on having fun!
The cost of the cruise starts at $23 per person.
Monday through Friday the cruise is open from 1 pm to 10 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, open from 10 am to 10 pm.
