I have been living in Singapore since 2013 and most of the time I haven't had the chance to stay in hotels. My experiences from the hotels in Singapore are mainly from excellent dinners, it is very common in Singapore to have dinners in hotels, in addition it is also very common to hold weddings in hotels and I have already visited quite a few of these as well. During the preparations for my wedding in 2018, my wife and I visited a lot of hotels in order to find the perfect location for the wedding, which exposed me to many hotels from the inside. Family visits to Singapore also exposed me to a number of better and less good hotels.
The main thing I can help you with finding hotels is choosing the location and if the hotel is famous for its restaurants. In addition, he brought you a recommendation of hotels that our customers like. For the rest of the things, I would recommend using the reviews that appear in the links I added to the list of hotels here.
List of recommended hotels:
The hotel is located in an excellent location in the marina (Marina center), an excellent starting point for tours in the center of the island. The Esplanade Promenade, with its iconic and spectacular view of the Singapore skyline (some of the hotel's rooms also face this view), is a short walk away. From the boardwalk you can cross the DNA-like Helix Bridge to the Marina Bay Sands mall and boardwalk, continue the giant wheel or take a trip to the mouth of the Singapore River, with its impressive colonial government buildings.
Below the hotel, the Marina Square mall, with lots of excellent restaurants, a food court and an entire floor with an amazing playground for children. Adjacent to the Suntec City mall hotel, one of the largest in Singapore, from where you can take shuttles to the Singapore zoos, go on open bus tours around the city and get on the amphibious vehicle, which in addition to the city tour includes a cruise in the marina. In addition to all this, the subway is a short five minute walk away.
The hotel rooms are comfortable and spacious, some with views of the marina and Singapore's famous skyline. A beautiful swimming pool with a view of the city, shady corners and an excellent bar is a place for an immigrant to spend an hour or two. The best part of the hotel in my opinion is the food. Excellent and varied breakfast and one of the best buffet restaurants in Singapore for dinner. The hotel lobby also provides excellent service. Worth mentioning is the long afternoon High Tea and the excellent cocktails. The hotel has an urban farm located next to the large restaurant, the farm supplies fresh vegetables to the hotel kitchens.
I celebrated my wife's birthday at this hotel and I highly recommend it!
I have a special fondness for this hotel, it is the hotel where I got married in 2018. From quite a few years of experience with the Holiday Inn chain of hotels in Israel and around the world, I can say that personally, I really like the chain's hotels. According to what I've seen, the chain hotels have very good standards, and they are maintained uniformly in every destination I've stayed at a hotel from the chain. The hotel is located in an excellent location, in the southern part of the famous Orchard Road and a short walking distance to a subway station. The hotel is an excellent starting point for a walking tour of the glittering Orchard Street, for unrestrained shopping or just excellent Window Shopping. Of course there are also lots of great restaurants around.
The rooms are clean and spacious, the food is excellent, the bar is excellent and there is a great spa.
I stayed at this hotel two nights after my wedding and I enjoyed it very much!
Located in the heart of glittering Orchard Road, Singapore's main shopping street. Right above a central subway station. The hotel has a lovely pool on the roof with a spectacular city view.
We will add to the particularly good location the fact that many of our customers have recommended the hotel, and we will say that it is definitely a recommended hotel.
The Clan Hotel Singapore
A relatively new hotel, located in an excellent location, on the seam between Chinatown and the business district of Singapore. This is a very attractive area with beautiful streets such as Amoy and Telok Ayer, full of preservation structures, which infuse a special vintage atmosphere. On the other side the glittering skyscrapers of Singapore's business center.
The area is one of the best culinary areas in Singapore and there are also quite a few bars operating in the vicinity. Add to that the proximity to the center of Chinatown, the Clarke entertainment area, the Marina Bay area, and we got a perfect location. The hotel rooms offer an amazing view of the center of Singapore and Chinatown with its red roofs.
Quite a few of our customers, who stayed at the hotel, told us about comfortable and beautiful rooms, and excellent service. Many also liked the covered streets area just below the hotel.
Fairmont Singapore
Many of our customers liked the hotel and some of them returned to it more than once. Everyone reports great rooms, good atmosphere, amazing view from the rooms, and excellent service. I put the emphasis on the excellent location.
The hotel is located right in the city center, close to most of the attractive areas for tourists. You can leave the hotel itself for tours around the center of Singapore on foot and reach very important, interesting and beautiful key points in the city. Under the hotel there are two subway stations where 3 different lines pass, with the help of which you can easily and quickly reach all the attractions of the island.
Further below the hotel, the prestigious Raffles City mall, through which you can reach through an air-conditioned underground link, about five other very high level malls. It is a shopaholic's paradise. The hotel complex has excellent restaurants that many local residents of Singapore frequent. It is highly recommended to experience tea time at the iconic Raffles Hotel, located nearby.
Bencoolen Street Hotels:
Bencoolen Street has had a serious facelift in recent years. From a relatively quiet street in the city center with hotels and relatively very old buildings (not buildings to be preserved), to a real hidden gem in the city center. Two new train stations were opened at both ends of the street (Bencoolen MRT and Rocher MRT) and in addition, about 4 more train stations within a short walking distance, making the street an ideal place to stay for tourists. A series of new hotels have opened, and currently offer excellent value for money.
From the looks of it, the street continues to develop and there is a high chance that prices will rise in the coming years. The street is a short walk from the National Museum of Singapore and the beautiful Fort Canning Park. At a relatively short walking distance, the mouth of the Singapore River and the old civil quarter (the British colony's government building) with its impressive colonial buildings, and the central part of Marina Bay.
